You meet Dr Loy, for free
Online or in Dublin, with no long waiting list. He listens to your story and explains all your options.
You decide, in your own time

“Meeting Dr Loy to discuss the best surgery for me, I felt it was the first time in my life I was genuinely being listened to and not just blamed or judged for being overweight.”
It's Not About Willpower
- I've tried every diet. Slimming World, Weight Watchers, all of them.
- The weight comes off, then it comes back.
- I'm hungry all the time.
- I worry about my health: my blood sugar, my blood pressure, my joints.
- I just want to feel like myself again.
You're not doing it wrong
When you lose weight with a diet, your body fights back. It makes you hungrier, so the weight comes back. That's how the body works. It's not a lack of willpower.
MagDI™ works with your body instead. It changes the signals from your gut, so you feel full sooner and want less.
What MagDI™ Can Do For You
Feel full sooner
MagDI™ raises your body's own fullness hormone and lowers the ones that make you hungry. Eating less feels easier.
Weight loss that lasts
It works the same way as a gastric bypass, an operation surgeons have used for decades.
Help with blood sugar
In the first study, people with type 2 diabetes saw their average blood sugar (HbA1c) drop from 8.2% to 6.6% in a year.
Nothing left inside you
The two magnets pass out naturally, usually within two to three weeks. There's no implant to look after.
Think what that could mean for you: more energy, clothes that fit, keeping up with the kids, and less worry about your health.
Results vary from person to person.
How MagDI™ Works
While you're asleep
Dr Loy places two small magnets in your gut. They gently hold two parts of it together.
Over two to three weeks
Your body makes a new, shorter path for food between them. Then the magnets pass out naturally.
From then on
Some of your food takes the shorter path. You feel full sooner and less hungry.
Worried About An Operation? That's Normal.
Looked after while you sleep
It's keyhole surgery, through a few small cuts. An experienced anaesthetic team is with you the whole time.
Back on your feet quickly
Usually one night in hospital, and back at a desk job in one to two weeks.
Used since 2021
Around 40 centres in the US already offer MagDI™. It is authorised in the US, Canada and Europe.
Every operation has some risks. Dr Loy will explain them clearly and answer all your questions.
